Safety & Community Tips
Your safety is our top priority. Follow these tips to enjoy FoodJate confidently.
Meet in Public Restaurants
Always meet your Jate match or squad group at a public restaurant for the first time. Choose well-lit, busy venues and let FoodJate help you discover the best options nearby.
Tell a Friend Where You're Going
Before meeting someone from FoodJate, let a trusted friend or family member know where you're going, who you're meeting, and when you expect to be back.
Use Your Own Transportation
Arrange your own way to and from the meetup. Avoid relying on someone you just met for transportation so you can leave at any time you choose.
Keep Personal Info Private
Avoid sharing your home address, workplace, financial information, or other sensitive personal details with people you've recently matched with.
Never Send Money
FoodJate will never ask you to send money to a match. If someone you've matched with asks for money or financial assistance, it is likely a scam. Report them immediately.
Block & Report Unsafe Users
If anyone makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, use the block and report features in the app. Our team reviews all reports and will take appropriate action.
Respect Boundaries & Consent
Respect other users' boundaries at all times. Consent is essential — in conversation, in person, and online. No means no, and silence is not consent.
See something wrong?
If you witness unsafe behavior or need to report an issue, head to our Report a Problem page or review our Community Guidelines.
