When you use FoodJate, we may collect the following types of information:

• Profile data: name, age, bio, photos, and dating preferences
• Restaurant preferences and saved restaurants
• Location data used for nearby matching and restaurant search
• Chat messages and Jate request history
• Verification photos (used only for identity checks, not shared)
• Notification preferences and app settings
• Device information for app diagnostics and security

FoodJate uses your location to suggest nearby restaurant matches and connect you with other users in your area. You can control location access in your device settings and within the app.

Live location is only used when you enable the matching feature. We do not continuously track your location in the background without your explicit consent.

We send notifications for new Jate requests, messages, squad group activity, and restaurant date reminders. You can manage notification preferences in your device settings or within the FoodJate app.

FoodJate provides the following in-app privacy controls:

• Show Profile on Map

  Toggle whether your profile appears on the nearby user map.

• Use Live Location for Matching

  Enable or disable real-time location for restaurant and date matching.

• Private Account

  Restrict who can send you Jate requests and view your profile.

• Notification Settings

  Customize which notifications you receive and how.

FoodJate does not sell your personal data to third parties. We may use trusted service providers to help operate the app (such as cloud storage and analytics), and these providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.

Your profile information and photos are visible to other FoodJate users based on your privacy settings. Chats are only visible to the participants.
